Start pcsx again and setup your configuration. Then you find a new created retroarch-folder on your sd, now copy the system-folder with the bios-files inside into retroarch/cores/. Make sure you have an appropriate BIOS dump in your ‘system’ directory and you should be all set. Not a lot of information for the non-pro version of shield to be honest. Retroarch Plus is the 64 bit version and wont work on a non-pro Nvidia shield which is 32 bit. Use the navigation pad on the SHIELD’s remote to select the hamburger menu in the upper-left corner. It has an build in link to the RetroArch version and works out if the box with it. Next, insert the thumb drive into your NVIDIA SHIELD. My NES ROMs are in a folder labeled “NES,” my GameBoy Advance ROMs are in a folder labeled “GBA,” and so on. Once you have your ROMs folder all set up, copy the entire folder to your USB drive. I’ve edited the cfg file for Retroarch to see my external drive. It’ll be easier later on if you separate the ROM files into different subfolders for each system. In my experience, the standalone emulators for N64, Saturn, PS1 and Dreamcast run better than the Retroarch cores. The twenty or so games I had were only about 1.3GB. A big benefit of a Retroarch + front-end set-up is that it lets you use the standalone emulators for the systems that benefit from them, but still launch the games from a single unified interface. I had not applied a bios yet and I could not save my game normally, so I used a save state. I recently started using the PCSX rearmed core to play a PSX game.
